For a few months now, I've been looking forward to Mac's Marilyn Monroe collection which features new limited edition shades of various products and special packaging with pictures of Marilyn on it. Today was the online official release date, here, but don't panic if you missed out! The products go on sale at Mac stores and counters in department stores near you such as Nordstrom and Macy's on October 4th. I recommend calling ahead and having a sale's associate hold some products since collections like this tend to sell out crazy fast. Trust me, I have experienced this first hand many times.
As a beauty fanatic, I like to keep up with the latest makeup collections that Mac and other brands release seasonally. Also, as a big fan of Marilyn I was ecstatic about this particular collection. I was especially excited about a few products. One being the blush in The Perfect Cheek, which is a nice neutral pink that's perfect for fall.
I'm also super excited for the lipstick in the shad Love Goddess. I'm not usually daring when it comes to lip colors but I really love this raspberry pink shade, which is also really great for fall. I'm thinking I'll wear it sparingly so it's not too vibrant.
You can be sure I'm going to be calling my local Nordstrom Mac counter first thing in the morning on October 4th to ask them to hold these two products for me since they're in such high demand. Let's hope I get them in time! Are you planning on getting anything from the collection? Leave a comment!
