MAC Glamour Daze Launch Party

I know I haven't posted in a long time but I promise I'm going to better about posting! I've just been buried in work and I have the PSAT's on Saturday, oh the joys of being a junior. Anyway, last night I went to the launch party for MAC's new Holiday 2012 collection: Glamour Daze. The official launch date to the public is October 23rd online on the MAC website, and October 25th anywhere MAC is sold. The reason I got to go is because while me and my mom were on the hunt for the Marilyn collection, a sales lady told us that she could get us on the list for the launch party for Glamour Daze and of course we didn't say no! When we got there, they handed us a shopping list and a pen and let us in the store.

Mac Marilyn Monroe Collection

For a few months now, I've been looking forward to Mac's Marilyn Monroe collection which features new limited edition shades of various products and special packaging with pictures of Marilyn on it. Today was the online official release date, here, but don't panic if you missed out! The products go on sale at Mac stores and counters in department stores near you such as Nordstrom and Macy's on October 4th. I recommend calling ahead and having a sale's associate hold some products since collections like this tend to sell out crazy fast. Trust me, I have experienced this first hand many times.

Hautelook: American Apparel

I know I haven't posted in a while, school work has been piling up. I guess I understand why junior year is the hardest year of high school now. Although, I'm going to try to get back into the rhythm of posting much more often. Anyway, one of my all time favorite websites for beauty and fashion finds is Hautelook. If you don't know what Hautelook is, it's a member's only online store where they have daily deals on top brands and designers for a steal. They sell brands like Rock and Republic, Seven For All Mankind, etc, but they're only available for a limited time. If you're anything like me, American Apparel is a store you hear about, and admire for their basics and good quality, but have never really gone in and checked things out. However, Hautelook is having a sale on American Apparel, and some really nice things are available. But, the sale ends tomorrow so I'd hurry up and sign up! You can get things here, before 8am Pacific Time tomorrow morning. I'll show a few things I have my eye on.

Fashion Week: London Street Style

As most of you know, London Fashion Week started on September 14th and will be going until today, the 18th. While the models work the runway, previewing the spring/summer trends for 2013, they aren't the only people displaying the latest fashions. The street style during the shows was almost the best part. The streets of London were filled with fashionable onlookers, including off duty designers, magazine writers, and everyday people. Some of my favorite outfits shown were on the people on the streets. I'm not too daring when it comes to fashion ensembles, so some of the runway styles are too much for me. But, a lot of the street style is perfect for me to get inspiration from. One of my favorite outfits was worn by model Anja Rubik.

Stylenomics

Today was one of those days where I had nothing to do for a huge chunk of time, so I decided to paint my nails a new color I got, Stylenomics from Essie's fall collection. First of all the name is adorable, and the color is perfect for fall. All last fall I was looking for the perfect dark, forest green and Stylenomics is just that. It's a really deep green with some dark blueish teal undertones.

Not-So-Free People

I have yet to post an outfit of the day because there are so many things on my fashion wishlist that I'm trying to get out of my system. One of the things on the top of my list is this 'vegan' leather jacket from Free People. It's called the Quilted Vegan Leather Jacket, really original name I know.

My Favorite Fall Boots

Fall for me is the season of fashion. I love all the outfits you can put together, there's so much more of a range compared to summer. Sweaters, boots, scarves, and jackets are some of my favorite fall key pieces. Boots however are one of those key pieces that never get old. You can have a million pairs of boots because each pair brings something new to an outfit. There are a few pairs I have my eye on for this upcoming fall, but I also have a few pairs that I'm in love with. Around this time last year, on a visit to a local TJ Maxx, I found my dream boots. A pair of short, leather Sam Edelman lace up boots. The best part was I got them for $70 on sale from $160. Even though I've had them for about a year, they are still in really good condition and they look even better now that they're worn in a bit.
